Our Senses

Firstly, apologies if your children came home this week with pink hands! They had such fun playing with cornflour slime. For those scientists amongst you, the mixture makes a non-Newtonian fluid which feels like a liquid AND a solid. The children didn't want to stop playing!! To add to the fun (and to excite our sense of sight!) we added pink food colouring. Don't worry it will come off and is not harmful!

Also this week we enjoyed adding food colouring to milk and a tiny bit of detergent watching the colour being moved around when the fat molecules in the milk interact with the detergent.

All in all a bit of a messy week!!!

Parachute Fun!

Today we had fun playing games with the parachute. First we looked for sounds then we looked for objects beginning with the sounds.

At the end we all hid under the parachute to make a mushroom and left as we heard the beginning sound of our name.
